The Double Cushion Silosheath™ provides twice the thickness of gel at the distal end to give extra protection to the residual limb from abrasion, friction and shearing while offering the same benefit as a Standard Silosheath™. It also offers a higher degree of shock absorption to the residual limb. This style is recommended for residual limbs with more bony prominence.

The Original Silosheath™ is a stretch nylon sheath or sock lined with Silipos® proprietary polymer gel to provide protection to the residual limb from abrasion, friction and shearing while allowing the limb maximum flexibility and mobility. It also absorbs shock and pressure exerted from wearing the various prosthetic devices. The gel lining is approximately 2mm thick at the toe of the residual limb.

The Extra-Life Silosheath™ is designed with Silipos® proprietary gel molded in between two nylon sheaths. This product is recommended for individuals who prefer their skin to have no direct contact with the gel and/or for individuals who experience a higher degree of friction between their residual limbs and the prosthesis. In addition, the extra layer of nylon added to this product helps to make the product more durable.
